Is this selfish to think that I should put myself first?
Absolutely not.
Ok think of it this way. When you board an airplane, and the cabin crew are giving you a safety brief, why do they tell you in case of an emergency that you should put your oxygen mask on first and not your child’s or partners?
It’s because if you can help yourself first with the mask, then you can help your family and friends if they are struggling.
This is the same with your health. If you’ve noticed that your energy is dropping significantly, you’re becoming agitated and anxious, blood pressure is rising and you don’t feel sexy or attractive, it’s all signs that you need to stop and take a minute and think what you really want in life.
Do you want to keep feeling unhealthy, low self-confidence eating foods that make you bloated, gassy, constipated and cause immense inflammation or would you like to have energy to go to the park with your child, feel attractive, eat, and not have the bloat and start feeling like you again and finally get your lifestyle back?
That is the biggest change I made to my life. I want to see my children grow up and have their own families and I want to travel and see the world and I want to enjoy life and not constantly worry about my health.
